*A bad day with apps.
1st the application got stuck at 45% than it crashed. I restarted it and it went for only 25%. fk. Next it finally loaded 100% and the app was going to start when i saw... rendering 38%...  *FAINT* :(

To start of, a big thank you to the EXCO and teacher for having an overnight camp.

Day 1

I was in group 2, together with Sec 1:(Song Lin(morning duty partner!), [1 more girl, forgot =x],lawerence*) Sec 2 (Navind, np junior, llyod*) Sec 3(Haszirah,Xiaoqin, me) not forgetting QianYing

Phew, was super scared that I will be late/overslept, somehow I woke up at 7 and reached 15min earlier haha, new achievement =P

Packed all my clothes in my daypack, and squeezed my shoe,slipper and sleeping bag in that shoe bag. Was worried my shoe bag will burst, thankfully it didn't.

I think the most useless stuff I brought was the shoe, because no wet games so there wasn't a need to change my shoe, then again who knows if it will cancel.

Allocated bunks for Grp 1-3 males were in 3/6. Luckily my bunk got alot people I can talk to, I always worry about being solo =x Like Bharat, Ryan, Sze Meng, etc etc...... & the bala that we can dee siao.

Then got Ice Breakers, I think the Sec 1 all very shy, so the Ice didn't break enough like what QY said. I remember playing ZhiRong's fried fish, Shoe ID , Snap(?) unsure of the name and Snackers(played after amazing race, lack of time).

The funniest part was the forfeits, especially MinXian ''confessing'' to Bharat. & Edmund's shouting back ILY to some random junior.

Next was team dynamics, actually the 1st one I already know it's apple haha. CY hold the envelope so wide, can see the apple liao (hehe cheating)

Idk what group 3 was doing, but theirs really the most epic, instead of apple theirs looked like a d___. Don't know how they mould the plasticine lol.

And their funny spree haven't end, next one was a carrot, they moulded it until it looked like a Cactus/superman. & i don't think they can't make out what it is w/o moi.

Next up, we had lunch, utensils provided = less things to watch. Hurray for utensils provided :D

Then the most anticipated AMAZING RACE! So sad, this time round the venues were all in Marsiling - Woodlands - Admiralty. I just realised on the bus that Marsiling = Mar siling, and siling in the name of the school So that's how they got the school name. Cool :D

Our first venue was Waterfront park. Xiaoqin so smart guessed the answer, but she claims she anyhow say (hmm humble ah? haha) Ya indeed it's waterfront because the water was infront of the word behind (background word was new, I was confused b/w New Water park and waterfront lol! if new water that place then really game over -.-)

Thankfully haszirah know how to go the place, I only agar agar know how to walk there. She says she and __you know who__ always go there XD. Then we almost tricked QY, by telling her that the pond was waterfront park liao so we can walk lesser, haha but of course she eventually didn't take the bait. Finally we reached there after 15min +/- walk. We chose the detour/roadblock forgot le, is the whole team one. We did 10/15(stm liao =x) counts of Jumping Jacks. Then I tell the group line up in one line, so look like 1000-hand guan yin aka qian shou guan yin (my HYPY cmi =x) Then QY help us video, (hmm wonder if she got upload, I want see how funny we were lol)

Next was Vista Park. Got some emphasis on the words one. Idk how go there loh, luckily QY say go Fragrant woods, I remember going there once to play Basketball with KH/SY/Andy/BQ then I was the ''shotgunner'' haha ok off-topic liao -.-

I thought how near was frangt woods and vista park... QY bring us go one big round. It's like can walk A----B but QY bring us go A---/^\-----O---B lol. Very funny we walk 1 big round, and then Llyod still don't get why we say we walked 1 round. Another most epic 1 was the Lawerence(oops i forgot to include him and llyod in our group, shall do now) its like everyone walking the traffic light, then he act emo go zebra crossing? Nowadays people getting cuter and cuter huh?When we finally reached, we chose to walk on the stone path. Now i know how XQ feels when rocks when in her shoe. She says very relaxing lols.

Then the clue was typo error of the keyboard. look one time I know it's woodlands. the oo too obvious, cos it's double repeated words :D But i couldn't make out the Mart, was guessing mall lol. Then can't be maLL maRT, not repeated leh. Luckily kester got it as mart. We were debating whether to take bus or walk. In the end we sticked to walking and running. Although we said run, no one ran -.- Then QY encourage us run, & I pushed the slowpokes, fun poking people.

At woodlands mart, QY tell us choose the grp one, she say we won't regret. Okay, so she bought 2 bubble tea for us to drink under 2mins. Thanks ah QY, though I don't think you will see this. Wah, we(the guys) all look like gays, the guys cup got 4 straw in the cup lol. I drank 1/4 of it then brain freeze. AHH my brain cells, im dumb enough already. Then xiaoqin help us finish, I tell her suck all 4straws will be faster HAHA!

Next station was the ready get set go, I was like casette? I thought some music store, then XQ suddenly hot liao thought of woodlands stadium. Took 913 there, ran like mad just to catch the bus. Alighted again at interchange and walked to stadium. This time we chose the solo one, actually now is duo. I volunteered, and after persuasion finally kester also come. We walked the 3 legged thingy. I think that's the most boring one, we 2 walking like idiots then they all slack on the seats tsk tsk. Pangseh us! ><

Next was Fushan Garden, walked all the way to school, all the grass fault! Make my leg itchy. At fushan we did the group one. WAh, easy man walking side ways how hard could it be, then again this is leisure camp @.@  Next, we took a group photo, (must remind QY to upload, but I think I can only remind her after I give her my proposal which is due tomorrow.) Tomorrow, tomorrow will be a greater day (haha MOE Presentation inside joke)

Actually we were supposed to go to woodlands checkpoint, but QY law-by-law say it's her duty to ensure that we report back to school before 5, ya if I her were I would have made that choice too huh? Like why I always quote from the SS book, Good leaders make right decisions not popular ones. (Y) Then she treated us drinks again, wow felt so bad but to reject is rude.  Next time must treat back, like this then gentleman hor  *hint @ someone, not QYI*

Headed back to school, by then all of us used up 50% energy. Except me lah of cos, I still got 99%! Chey! \m/ Then we recited SC pledge outside school and saw CY & ZR. They say we were the 1st grp, I was liked O_O Wut? Initially our group was like, sure last sure last. Then I ask 1st from back? They said no, and show the serious face. Waseh, kena this kind of route also can first haha woots... but.. but.. we skipped 1 station lah =x

Waited for the rest of the groups, and mean while took lots of jumpshots, group photo. Too bad because the other groups came late we couldn't play water games hais... That was supposed to be another fun one IMO.

Instead we skipped to wash up, then dinner.

After dinner was the best, we watched horror movie, warm up was happy tree friends, then Grudge. Wah thinking of it now makes me scared. Gory images, especially the crawling part, screamt like hell. Okay I not going to post long on this, my heart rate increasing now -.-

Next was terror hunt. Wah our group one some super hard to find, some super lucky. We only did 1 forfeit. For activity hall, we didn't know it could be opened till minxian play with the switch. Then we searched outside like some goons.. Grp5 one really easy loh, very obvious it's like the 1st grp we find is always theirs.

Next was supper, lights out. @ Night, the guys in 3/6 were talking about rumours/gossips/rubber gloves lol. I rank this 2nd most favourite, after terror hunt.

So current ranking, Terror Hunt/Amazing Race > talk c0ck session > movie > ice breakers/team dynamics

Morning woke up, bathed and reported on time. Had breakfast, and what's wrong with dipping your bread into milo lol. The bread dry mah -.- everyone laughing at me... Especially the girls EEE here eee there ....

Then went to AVA, I think I scared QY too much, she say my cup lost, then I like orh okay, lost nvm what , she give the worried face haha. Then I walked up to AVA after searching, she say in other group. So awkward when walking back to AVA room with her.. don't know what to say -.- Had prize presentation. Best group was group 5 (should be) Best SC Lower Sec = SzeMeng upper Sec = Edmund. Hmm middle Sec give me can? HAha :D

ACtually I yesterday already saw the results of the best SC-ers from the files haha. This year no voting de.. Is exco choose. I think like that more fair, and abit not fair. Fair is that we won't choose only our friends, unfair is that the exco won't know the sc-ers as well as the close friends do.

Then was dismissal, so sad the camp ended too fast, should be 3d2n then can bond more T_T too short a camp hais.... Fun just started, haha easy for me to say, the exco all tired liao, they too need a break. Okay time for me to stop and take my break too.

Had the sudden urge to blog so I can look at this posts when I'm older, *laughs* that is provided onsugar.com doesn't close or delete my blog XD

Alright, it's the 2nd time since I went to a nursing home. The first one was last year's CEP at SWAMI home near Sembawang.

I met up with the others outside RS bus stop,I thought I was gonna be late but thankfully the teachers were later. Haha. OH ya speaking of the teacher they were Mr Poh? I forgot his name , i know he's the NCC TO & always wears white * or at least that's the only outfit I rmb him in* and Mr Fairis. Seriously dudes, Mr Fairis looks like Guo CongMin (GCM) aka Qi Gai Min aka He Shang min aka Ying Jun min XD It's really cool to have actor-look-alike-teacher :D

So we hopped on to the mini van when everyone arrived, and greeted the two teachers. Following which we set-off and President Ma gave us a briefing. :) Halfway she mentioned that it was gonna be a christian home. I was like ''really ah'' , preethee didn't tell me that. It's not I'm against christians. I shall rephrase that incase I get misunderstood , I meant i was O_O because preethee didn't give me the full information....

Maybe it's cos they think level2 no need know so much. But she was VERY QUICK TO DEFEND HERSELF though. She immediately said '' i did tell him'' in the van..... I'm preethy sure she never tell me that, -- I may not look it but I do have a good memory n I particularly rmb what people say. And I can rmb stuffs a few years ago, even during my nursery1 days ... -- Alright, enough of powerhungry people * maybe i misunderstood her? =C *

Erm, when we arrived there we were briefly briefed by the in-charges. Turns out to me that the caregivers don't really know what we were going to do, they were like '' erm, so what are you guys gonna do today? erm how many people are here. erm this erm that'' I guess the exco took care of everything! good job o.o

So we were told we could only go to level 1 and level 3. Immediately I wondered why only those 2 levels when there were 4 levels. They said level 4 was used by the staffs who were foreigners for their dormitories. But they were quite reluctant to explain to us about level 2... *creeps* But i managed to eavedrop something about residents in level 3 being more social then level 2.

When we first entered, I felt that the exco were quite blur in the start. In the sense that ALL 15 of us dashed in the room where the old folks were and started having our own conversations. and randomly started the dance. It was like, 15 random people, walked in randomly into a random old folks home, and WITHOUT ANY SELF INTRODUCTION randomly talked and suddenly and randomly did the random RS DANCE >< I mean really, the exco should took the lead to introduce ourselves, like say we are some councillors from Riverside Sec we are here in a community engagement programme _ _ _ etc? Or at least explain why we are here.

In particular two people who i shall NOT mention, * coughs coughs* lee zhi * coughs coughs* *trying to hold back my words* rong and * gasping for air* pris *asthma like attack* cilla << not the bio term LOL. Okay enough with the rubbish, well but at least ZhiRong did say '' da jia hao'' when I reminded him to. -- But I'm not saying I can do a better job. Hehee --

Just blame it that everyone was a little shy =D

Like I said when we entered LZR on the radio n we started to do the RS dance, * which i felt was not relevant* because only a handful of the residents were actually paying attention to us lol...

After the dance we dispersed and when to find our companions . I initially ''had my eyes'' on a ah ma. Because she was one of those handful, actually looking at our dance and all. But just went I stood beside her, miss jazlyn song announced that the woman was literally hers. Okay.. fine loh, big people can reserve residents . Like that loh, LOL.

Just joking, I don't really mind people doing that, just that they should be more sensitive. I mean the 'ah ma' is a person, you don't say that you reserve her just like that... What do you treat her as? A table? Do you reserve her by putting a tissue on the table? Okay maybe I'm reading too much into it but they are just my thoughts lah =x

Nvm about that , I went to the table where ying xuan was standing. I don't regret ''giving the ah ma'' to jazlyn cos this uncle was quite fun too :D

Okay I shall respect him by telling you guys his name. He is _ qiu shun . I forgot his surname and I'm thankful I did cos it's to protect the identity of the residents. I too have to respect their privacy right? Although it's not stated black n white, i just do so. like what miss milhan always say, it's something like having sportsmanship. So this guy is from malaysia. He and his family came over in search of a better life.

According to him he has a family of 1father 1 mother ( obvious) 2 younger brothers n a elder sister. ( not too sure of seniority though) He stopped schooling after primary 6, not because he was not qualified or cos he didn't have the means to afford schooling fees, but just because he wanted to come straight out to work. From 12-20 he was doing some odd-jobs that didn't last for months. & at around 20 he started riding trishaws for tourists. Which was quite profitable, ranging $32/hour and more if the tourists gave tip. Just imagine If u work for 4hours i.e. 4hours/5days per week, you already earn more than enough to feed for yourself for a month. Also $32 in the past is alot. He told me a joke that now even if he sees 10cent on the floor he won't even bother to pick it up. In the past 10cent could buy you TWO, i mean TWO bowl of noodles... now singapore, 10cent can't even buy you two fishballs LOL.

His sad past was that his father was working as a sailor, once his father some ppl were on a sail to some place, i forgotten where i think it was indonesia or malaysia. Then the whole ship of 20+ ( not sure of the figures) just disapeared.... And soon after his mother died of some illness.

I asked him how he overcomed the two tragedies. He told me, ''haha, sad is have , but that time he was just concentrating on his job and didn't take the matters too hard.'' No doubt, death is part and parcel of life, but who will get use to death? I always worry when my parents __ __ __

But one thing which he told me, I really have to agree. If you have parents with you life is so much easier, in this world other than them who else will help you whole heartedly? If you have parents you need not worry so much on your 3 meals, if they are gone who is gonna provide for you? In this harsh reality, you can't do without money. I'm not saying that because I'm money crazy, but if you don't have enough for your 3meals how long can you last in the society? So conclusion: having your parents around is really a blessing.

I tried to catch every random detail I could ask him about. Erm, he got introduced as a trishaw rider from his dad.

Fact 2 : His trishaw had to be rented.

Fact 3 : Horny alert!!! '' bai tian'' he will go and work ''wan shang'' he will go jalan __ donno where__ and find woman LOL

More facts: I managed to find out that he is single, when i asked him why , he said it's becos he only wanted to have fun when he was younger. He only had one girlfriend whom he had for 3 years, however he was not serious about the relationship while his gf wanted to settle down. so they broke eventually. When I asked whether he regretted not having a wife, he asked me '' what's there to regret? It's his own path that he chose, since he chose it that way he should not regret. ''

P/S * I asked all those questions while he was colouring and doing the craft work. Instead of leaving him one person do all those craftwork. Actually initially he was reluctant to do them, *must eat humble pie then he will do* &&& I'm not that insenstive as to directly asked him : Why you come here? Why you no wife? Where your parents? I asked him slowly , so don't worry =D

Haha i sound like I'm interrogating him. I also got to know the reason he lived in the home was due to illness. His ''fei'' wasn't in a good condition. He was initially being treated at TTSH. If he gets discharged he would be living with his (younger?) brother ( the one who got divorced) So he was advised to go to a nursing home which has better medical facilities and it was fully subsidised so he need not burden his brother.

Luckily, unlike most of the other residents he is able to walk. So i keep comforting him that he's not useless. It's quite sad to hear him say that he feels useless cos his old and alot things cannot do. I often hear him say that life is like this: when you are young, you are fit you can do everything but when you are are older and when you are weak it's boring. Well... I kindaa agree that TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. But obviously I cannot tell him that I agree that old=weak=boring. My job is counsel? Yeah counsel him to feel healthy in his mind =D

I was enjoying my conversation with him, but every now and then some exco member or teacher drop by to check what I was doing. I'm not that blur if I look like one okay? However one thing the teacher did right was to ask 'qiu sun' what activity he wanted students to do with the, The answer he gave was chatting, which i could see from his face, cos i think he was enjoying the conversation with him , with all the laughters and embarrassment over past mistakes.

I seem to get the feeling I can get along with them well,

Meanwhile while chatting with 'qiu sun' CheaYee dropped by to say they will be moving up to the 3rd floor so we can still stay here. I stayed with 'QiuSun' until he coloured the 'cock' to the last part. I was quite sad about living him though, I left when he asked ''don't you have to go?'' I told him I will wait till he colours everything. All that starts well, ends well :D I was initially worried about leaving him suddenly... The residents there sometime do get lonely ...

Okay I'm struggling to write in proper English -.-

Today was my lao ma b'day. I felt so bad about not making a card, guess I just ran out of ideas of making cards everytime.
Fortunately she didn't mind. *i hope* However my sis's card was a surprise, really. It's a piece of card & it comes with a song she composed. Sounds cool ? Sounds high-tech? It's not... Basically her's was a piece of paper with some mushy words parents just love to hear & it comes with the song my sis wrote specially for my lao ma and the music playing part was not from the card itself x= actually. It's from her mouth.

Initially we planned to eat mc's or something but she recalled today was ''chu yi'' so we had some ''zai mi fen'' as she would call it. Man, I love that crunch brown colour thingy.... Haha I only know how to eat don't know the name =x

sidenote: My sis only woke up after everyone had breakfast LOL. So it was after breakfast that my mum saw the card.

After that I went out to nelson's tuition. It was @ the Bencoolen Office tower. I was like what the heck! Where's that? Fortunately I went there with my mum, she offered to lead me there <3 Then while I was having tuition she went shopping at OG. After 2hours + we met up & went shopping around bugis street. I rarely been there so I was quite curious about all the food they were selling amidst the shops. I finally bought those pants I wanted for a really really really long time. And I got two of them =D Yay! Next time I know where to shop if I want them. keke

Then we headed back home before resting for awhile & went to eat at Thai Express. No particular reason why we went there just that my family is '' chi la de'' =D I still stick to my philosophy the best time of the day is when the whole family gets together and talk over a meal and take random photos. I may or may not upload the photos though =x The bill came up to quite shocking, 3 digit number luckily we were members so some burden was ''lifted'' haha. I had been saying I will treat everyone to a meal since I didn't make a card . I know she doesn't mind if I skip out on that tab but it's a man's honour to fulfill his words.

Then I had the sudden itch to go TimeZone. So headed there & played TZBB ( as I like to call it). I played 3 rounds, 2 rounds were both 110 EXACTLY. The 3rd one was 134+ Stilll short of them 16+ points to make it to Stage 3. Sad right? I at least play that game for 30rounds in my entire life & I only got to Stage 3 once, if not never.

Forget about not reaching Stage 3, I still had fun anyway. Then we played air hockey/ bowling & stuff. p/s animal hunting sucks ttmttc plain boring really -.-

Then head home AGAIN. & it's late =x

Happy Lunar New Year =]

As the name suggests, we the 'CL's to be' had our CL camp.

Day 1
Did the usual administrative
-marking of attendance
-bag inspection
-surrendering of valuables
After that, we numbered off ourselves 1 and 2. It's just to split us up into our bunks, nothing much here.
Had our unit hike I was in group 5 or 4 i think. The hike was at henderson's waves. It's the 2nd time i been then. I really apologise for walking too fast, because I thought that if the 'not-so-fast' ones saw some of us all the way infront, they might want to catch up with us and walk faster. But it turns out that was not the case over here. Well, if i never try it out then maybe i won't know. =]

On the way there and back we kept singing songs and stuff, and i was commended for having neat hair. Haha, BHB.
Had lunch and some lectures
Z-Z-Z...
Okay next we had PT lectures. 1 of the most ''un-dry'' lectures. Haha.
Had flag racing > dinner >campfire lectures > bath >shower and lights off.
Had pretty much a hard time trying to sleep, not so used to sleeping on tables...
Overall the 2 best events were campfire lectures and unit hike ;]

Day 2
Had morning PT, which was later on followed by breakfast. Then went for dragon boat orientation course.
Overall quite fun, since it was at kallang reservoir (re-ser-WAH!) the water was rather clean.

Total got 10 can le.
Then our timing was like, 1 boon jian, 2 boon jian. LOL make fun of boon jian sir.
Then rinse up and went back to rss, wash-up + lunch.
Lunch was nice, at least not everyday maggi-mee like the previous camps ^^v

Forum was cool, cleared many of our doubts. But when i asked them why cant we bring sleeping bags to camp, they say that they want to bring us out of our comfort zone... I was like huh? Sleeping Bag is a luxury? OMG ._.lll
